Version 5.1. Refunds are judged case by case. We do not offer lesson credits, a tutor cancellation fee, or a fixed number of days for a decision.

A paid lesson cancelled with more than 12 hours before the start is refunded in full to the original payment method.
Inside 12 hours, the student can still cancel and the lesson fee generally stands. The tutor is paid for that booking unless we later refund the charge in full.
If the lesson is marked a student no-show, the student pays and the fee stays with the tutor.
A tutor cannot cancel in the app inside 12 hours of the start. They can contact support. If the tutor no-shows, the student is refunded in full. A tutor cancel more than 12 hours ahead also refunds a paid student in full.
If audio, video, or the classroom failed so the lesson could not run, report it. We review what happened. We may refund in full or we may not. There is no automatic refund.
If the lesson was completed, changing your mind is not a refund. A quality complaint can still be reviewed when you report a problem before the payout is released.
After a paid card lesson, tap “I had a problem” before the payout releases. That pause lasts through the review. Release otherwise happens when the student taps Release, or when the daily job runs after 72 hours from the scheduled end. Because that job runs once a day, the automatic payout can be up to about a day later. Report inside that window if you want the payout paused.
An admin reads the report and the tutor’s response. The admin can release the payout, refund the charge in full, or leave the fee with no refund. There is no lesson credit and no set date for a decision.
Your card issuer and Stripe have their own dispute process. A chargeback is separate from the review on CaribTutor. We may share the booking record with the processor when a dispute is opened.
Students pay the full lesson price by card through Stripe. The tutor’s share goes to the tutor’s own Stripe account. Starting at 28%. Your rate drops as you complete more lessons: Starter 0–49 completed lessons at 28%, Growing 50–149 at 22%, Established 150–299 at 18%, and Top Tutor 300+ at 15%. The rate is locked on the lesson. Stripe processing fees come out of that commission. Payment is released when the student taps Release, or automatically 72 hours after the lesson ends. Reporting a problem before release pauses it for review. Refunds follow the refund policy. CaribTutor does not hold tutor lesson funds and is not a money transmitter. Tutors in countries Stripe does not support cannot take card payouts yet. PayPal is coming for those tutors. Processor Multiparty / delayed disbursement is not live.
The tutor share is in the tutor’s Stripe account. CaribTutor does not hold it while release is pending. A refund of a Connect charge reverses the transfer and refunds the application fee. Stripe does not return its processing fee.
